Lara arrives by boat with Aren and the Ithicanian forces to defend an island targeted by an enormous Amaridian warship and a fleet of landing craft. Wearing her hood and clutching her medical case, she is instructed to stay behind the rocks with the healers once they reach the shore. As the battle erupts, the beach quickly becomes a chaotic scene of brutal hand-to-hand combat, with heavily outnumbered Ithicaniens desperately fighting to repel the invading enemy.
Refusing to remain idle behind the lines, Lara runs onto the blood-soaked sand to rescue wounded soldiers from the encroaching water and active combat. Despite taking blows and exhausting her strength, she repeatedly plunges back into the carnage to drag survivors to safety while Ithicanian fighters protect her flanks. The tide of the battle finally shifts when Taryn repairs the island catapulte and successfully pummels the massive Amaridian warship and the incoming landing craft.
Panicked and cut off from retreat, the surviving enemy forces break ranks as the Ithicanian troops rally around their king for a decisive push. Lara silently whispers her own allegiance as she plunges back into the thick of the ongoing fight.
